Whether it's customers at my restaurant, my son, the audience at my shows, or my clients, my goal is always the same: show up, understand their needs, and make it happen!
Hi there! I’m Kasey, a passionate UX Designer with a deep understanding of human behavior and a love for creating intuitive, user-centered designs. My journey into UX design is uniquely shaped by 17 years of experience as a restaurant owner and manager. Over the years, I’ve learned that great design, whether it’s a user interface or a dining experience, hinges on understanding the needs, preferences, and emotions of the people you're serving.
Running a restaurant for nearly two decades was more than just about food—it was about crafting an experience. From leading a team of 30 staff members to ensuring every customer left satisfied, I developed a keen eye for operational efficiency, empathy, and the importance of clear communication. These skills seamlessly translate into my work as a UX designer, where I focus on optimizing digital experiences to be intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable for users.
As a restaurant owner, I was constantly analyzing customer feedback, optimizing processes, and adjusting to evolving needs, all of which I bring into my design approach. Whether it’s creating a user flow or solving a problem through interaction design, I prioritize simplicity, accessibility, and the seamless navigation of any experience.
My background in managing diverse teams has honed my ability to collaborate effectively, empathize with users, and approach challenges with both creativity and logic. I believe that at the intersection of great design and user understanding, we can craft digital experiences that truly resonate.
My creativity also flows through my music as a folk singer/songwriter. I play guitar, ukulele, and have a deep love for singing. In December 2023, I released my debut single, 'Get Found,' and I'm now in the process of finishing my EP.
